BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Edinboro men's tennis advanced to the PSAC Championship Match with a 4-2 victory over Chestnut Hill on Friday afternoon.
The Scots got the doubles point with
Leon Grassnickel and Emil Tidman scoring a 6-2 decision over Noah Cutting and Pablo Cervera at top doubles. At number three
Fabricio Sosa Pons and
Duarte Correia were 6-4 winners over Alessio Lefevre and Augustin Daubannay.
In singles action, Cutting tied the match 1-1 with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Grassnickel. Sosa put the Scots back ahead with a 6-2, 6-3 over Cervera.
Lefevre was a 6-3, 7-5 win over Correia to even the match 2-2.
Arsen Tabaldyev dropped the first set 6-4, but rallied to beat Daubanny 6-2 in the second and 6-2 in the third. Hassan Amman clinched the match for the Scots defeating Ewari Brown 7-5, 7-5.
The Scots take on Jefferson on Saturday in the PSAC Championship Match.
