Fighting Scots Extend Winning Streak to Six, Defeat Davis & Elkins 6-3

EDINBORO, Pa. (April 13, 2014) – The Edinboro men's tennis team continued its strong play with a victory on Sunday afternoon against Davis & Elkins at home. The Fighting Scots won 6-3 to improve to 14-8 this season and extend its winning streak to six games while the Senators fall to 12-5.

Bruno Borja was the lone Edinboro player to go undefeated on the day. The Brazilian native topped Charles Brunel in the number two singles position 6-2, 6-3. Borja and Brandon Romain beat Thomas Judd and William Hill 8-6 in the number two doubles match.

Matias Aignasse won his sixth match in a row in the number one singles position. The junior's match with Vincent Hamon required a third set but Aignasse came out the victor 3-6, 6-3, 6-0.

Edinboro plays tomorrow at Daemen in the final regular season match before beginning the PSAC Championships. The match on Monday begins at 1:00 p.m.
