ERIE, Pa. (March 22, 2015) – The Edinboro men's tennis team won its third consecutive contest with a 6-3 victory over West Chester in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference matchup on Sunday afternoon at the Westwood Racquet Club in Erie, Pa. The Fighting Scots boosted their record to 8-5 on the season and 2-0 in PSAC play, while the Rams dropped to 4-6 on the year and 0-2 in the conference.
 
Sunday's matchup featured two regionally-ranked squads, as Edinboro is sixth in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association Atlantic Regional Rankings, while West Chester sits eighth. The Fighting Scots are now 2-2 this season against regional opponents.
 
Vitor Albanese prevailed by a score of 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, extending his win streak in singles competition to five matches and improving to 9-2 on the season.
 
Matias Aignasse, the reigning PSAC Player of the Year and eighth-ranked player in the ITA Atlantic Regional Singles Rankings won his fourth straight match with a 7-5, 6-3 victory at the No. 2 singles position.
 
Daniel Galimany also won his fourth consecutive matchup in singles competition with a 7-5, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles, while Bruno Borja picked up a 6-4, 6-1 triumph at the No. 3 singles slot. Borja is seventh in the latest ITA Atlantic Regional Singles Rankings
 
The duo of Matias Aignasse and Bruno Borja also collected an 8-2 victory at the No. 2 doubles position, while the tandem of Galimany and Juan Estepa earned an 8-1 win at third doubles, as well.
 
The Fighting Scots return to action on Saturday, March 28 travelling to Fairmont State. The regional matchup is slated to begin at 5 p.m.
