EDINBORO, Pa. (April 13, 2015) – The Edinboro men's tennis team earned its third consecutive win with an 8-1 triumph over visiting Roberts Wesleyan in a non-conference match on Monday afternoon in Edinboro, Pa. The Fighting Scots closed their home portion of the 2014-15 schedule with the victory, improving to 11-6 on the season, while the Redhawks dropped to 9-8.
Edinboro swept doubles competition, as the duo of
Vitor Albanese and
Brandon Romain collected an 8-4 victory at the No. 1 slot. The tandem of
Bruno Borja and
Matias Aignasse earned its fifth straight win with an 8-4 triumph at the No. 2 doubles position, while
Daniel Fernandez and
Juan Estepa picked up an 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles.
Albanese and Borja also extended their respective winning streaks in singles play, as Albanese won his seventh consecutive singles contest and Borja earned his seventh match in a row in singles competition.
The Fighting Scots close the regular season with a pair of PSAC road matchups this weekend. Edinboro travels to Bloomsburg on April 18 at 3 p.m. before taking on Kutztown in Bloomsburg, Pa. on April 19 at 10 a.m.
