Box Score (New/Sortable Format) SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio (September 23, 2015) – The Edinboro University volleyball team increased it's winning streak to seven matches with a 3-0 win (25-7, 25-20, 28-26) over Notre Dame (Ohio). The Fighting Scots improve to 10-1 overall this season. The 10-1 start is the best since the 2011 team started the year at 11-1. The Falcons dropped to 1-8 with the loss.
The 3-0 win marked the seventh time this year an Edinboro opponent failed to win a set against the Fighting Scots.
Sophomore
Challen Litwiler paced the Edinboro attack with 16 kills, while fellow sophomore
Sydney Trathen added 35 assists. Trathen also added seven kills and freshman
Megan Screptock contributed eight kills. Screptock and senior
Marah Maycock each earned two service aces a piece in the match.
Junior
Victoria Severo totaled a team-high six block assists. Screptock led the Fighting Scots with 13 digs, while Litwiler contributed 12.
The Fighting Scots are back in action on Friday, September 25 while competing in the PSAC Crossover. The Crossover, hosted by Mercyhurst, marks the beginning of conference play for Edinboro, The Fighting Scots will face Millersville and Shippensburg on Friday before finishing the Crossover against Lock Haven and Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday.
