NORTH CANTON, Ohio (September 14, 2016) – Edinboro University men's tennis continued its strong start today at Walsh, posting a 6-2 victory over the Cavaliers. The Fighting Scots swept the doubles matches and took three singles matches to improve to 3-0. Walsh dropped to 1-1.

Vitor Albanese shutout his singles opponent Vasily Vidmanov in both sets in the one spot, and teamed with freshman
Kolja Hein to post a doubles-one win over Ross Whittaker and Felix Zimmerman, 8-3. Sophomore
Mateus Santos beat Whittaker in the singles-two column by matching 6-1 scores, while posting a doubles-two win with junior

Mauricio Santos rallied from a one-set deficit to edge Zimmerman, 6-7, 6-4 and 12-10. He and sophomore doubles mate
Kevin Mboko beat Heitor Adegas and Jonah Carter, 8-3, in the third doubles spot.

Thomas McCoy won the first set in his six singles match against Adegas, 6-4, before being called off in the second set due to darkness. Adegas was holding a 5-2 lead in the second set at the time it was called.
