WEST CHESTER, Pa. – It was a quick work for the Edinboro men's tennis team as they hit the road for their first dual match of the season. Interim head coach Kody Duncan's team picked up the win over West Chester, 8-1, in the first PSAC match of the season.

It was quick work in doubles at the top two spots. Vitor Albanese and Daniel Fernandez once again made quick work of the Ram's top doubles team, 8-1. It was the second matchup between the two team in as many weeks. The Edinboro duo won in the PSAC Doubles semi-finals last weekend by an identical 8-1 score. But it was Kevin Mboko and Thomas McCoy who finished doubles action for the Fighting Scots with a 9-8 (8-6) win at #3.

It was Mboko who finished first in singles with a quick 6-1, 6-0 at #5 over Lucien DeCecco. Mauricio Santos and Mateus Santos picked up wins in at #3 and #4, respectively. The lone win for the Rams came in a super-tiebreaker (first one to 10, instead of 7) at #2 singles with Lucas Von der Heyde defeating Fighting Scot Daniel Fernandez, 2-6, 7-5, 10-5.

Edinboro remains on the road this weekend with a PSAC match on Saturday, October 7 at Millersville. Play is scheduled to start at 12 noon.
