The Game Story
  • Edinboro (6-13, 4-11 PSAC West) returns after a week-long break with a PSAC West road contest at Pitt-Johnstown (13-9, 8-8 PSAC West) on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. The Fighting Scots look to even the season series after falling to the Mountain Cats, 86-77, on January 6 in McComb Fieldhouse.
  • The Fighting Scots and Mountain Cats each look to turn around a rough stretch of defeats. Edinboro, who has suited up just seven players recently due to a set of injuries, has dropped its last two contests and seven of its last nine. They were picked eighth in the PSAC West preseason poll. UPJ, picked to finish third in the West, has lost three of its last four games.
  • Pitt-Johnstown currently sits in third place in the PSAC West standings, behind Indiana (Pa.) and Gannon, who have already clinched PSAC Tournament berths. Edinboro is in eighth place. The top six teams from each division qualify for the league tournament.
  • Saturday's contest features two of the PSAC's top 10 scorers. Redshirt junior guard Jaymon Mason is second in the conference and ranks 10th in NCAA Division II with 23.5 ppg. UPJ senior forward AJ Leahey ranks sixth in the PSAC with 19.4 ppg. and eighth in rebounding at 7.2 rpg.
  • Jaymon Mason is 10th all-time at Edinboro in career scoring with 1,380 points. He needs 18 points to pass former teammate Henri Wade-Chatman for ninth all-time.
