HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Edinboro men's tennis team continued its spring trip on Tuesday, competing against Belmont Abbey. The Fighting Scots would suffer their second straight loss by a narrow 5-4 decision to the Crusaders. Edinboro is now 7-3, while Belmont Abbey improved to 10-6.

Edinboro would open the match with wins in two of the three doubles matches, and was just a win away from a victory after Vitor Albanese and Daniel Fernandez picked up singles wins. Belmont Abbey would come away with the narrow victory, however, as the Crusaders won in straight sets at four, five, and six singles.

Albanese continued his outstanding campaign as he picked up wins in both singles and doubles competition. He is now 21-3 in singles play and 17-3 in doubles action. Fernandez also picked up a pair of wins, improving to 10-5 and 15-3, respectively.

Head coach Lee Underwood's team is back in action on Wednesday, March 15 playing Lenoir-Rhyne at 10 a.m.
