Box Score (New/Sortable Format) ERIE, Pa. -- The Edinboro men's tennis team got off to a quick start and didn't let up as they swept Roberts Wesleyan in their last match before their Spring Break trip, 9-0. Their fourth straight match at the Westwood Racquet Club in Erie.
Vitor Albanese and
Mateus Santos were the first off the court for doubles with an 8-3 win at the top singles spot.
Daniel Fernandez and
Kevin Mboko finished less than five minutes later with an 8-2 win at number two doubles.
Christian Roettger and
Mauricio Santos completed the doubles sweep with an 8-6 win at number three.
Albanese, who is ranked No. 13 in the most recent ITA national poll didn't take long to win both his matches on the day with an 6-2, 6-1 win at number one singles. Mboko dropped only one game en route to his 6-1, 6-0 win at number five singles.
Thomas McCoy completed the shutout with his 6-4, 6-3 win at number six.
The Fighting Scots return to the court on Saturday, March 10 at Barton College in Wilson, NC.
