COLUMBUS, Ohio - Jasmine Fehr broke a program record on Friday at the Jesse Owens Classic, hosted by Ohio State University. The two-day invitational, which is comprised of Division I, II, III programs continues on Saturday morning.
The freshman competed in the 1,500-meter run, finishing in seventh place with a time of 4:30.62. Her time bested a 31-year old record previously held by Kerrie Yenchak set in 1987. Fehr's time is also a Division II provisional and ranks 14th nationally.
Trae Smith also competed in the javelin for the Fighting Scots. He finished in fifth place with a season-best and PSAC-qualifying throw of 56.99m, 186' 11".
