Box Score (New/Sortable Format) WEST LIBERTY, W.V. -- The Edinboro men's tennis team didn't drop a match in singles en route to a 5-1 victory over West Liberty on the road Thursday. The match was shortened once the Fighting Scots clinched the win.
Senior
Daniel Fernandez and junior
Kevin Mboko got things started with an 8-4 at number two doubles with juniors
Mauricio Santos and
Thomas McCoy following up with a quick 8-1 win at number three doubles. The lone point came for the Hilltoppers with a win at the top doubles spot.
In singles, senior
Vitor Albanese dropped his first set, 6-1 before rebounding to win the final two sets for the 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over Camilo Moncayo at the top singles spot. Mboko was also taken to three sets before picking up the win over Matt Lynch 3-6, 7-6, 6-3. McCoy did not have as much trouble in his straight sets victory over Luke Flanagan 6-2, 6-3.
Edinboro concludes the regular season when they visit Mercyhurst on Tuesday, April 10 for a 3 p.m. match in Erie.
