Men's Tennis Team Returns to Action at Niagara

EDINBORO, Pa. – The Edinboro men's tennis team will return to the courts on Sunday, February 16 play at Niagara. Last week, head coach Kody Duncan's squad played three times in a span of four days, winning two of those three matches. They come in with a 3-1 record, while Niagara comes in with a 3-3 record.

Edinboro opened the indoor portion of its schedule with a 4-3 win at Walsh. After dropping a 6-1 decision to Hillsdale, the Fighting Scots followed with a 6-1 win over Ashland, then handed Roberts Wesleyan a 7-0 defeat.

The Fighting Scots showcase a pair of sophomores in the top two singles spots in Nils Plutat and Tommy Hsu. Plutat was named the 2019 ITA Atlantic Region Rookie of the Year, while Hsu was selected the 2019 PSAC Freshman of the Year. This past fall, Plutat won the PSAC singles championship and teamed with Hsu to win the doubles crown.

Niagara last played on Saturday, February 8 against another PSAC team. The Purple Eagles defeated Bloomsburg 7-0.
