Fighting Scots extend winning streak

Box Score (New/Sortable Format) HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Edinboro men's tennis team has extended its winning streak after defeating Salem University 6-1. The Fighting Scots are now 8-2 in the season while Salem dropped to 4-1.

Edinboro would win the doubles point by dominating all three doubles matches. The number one and number three doubles matches would end in perfect sets. The Fighting Scots would pick up five more points in the singles matches. Nils Plutat suffered a tight loss to Gianfranco Germinara with scores of 6-0, 5-7, 10-4. At number three singles, Bruno Sabio Sbeghen would also play three sets. He would defeat Anas Haddou with scores of 7-6, 1-6, 13-11. Takahiro Inoue would wrap up the last of the singles matches by dominating Bas De Waal with scores of 6-0, 6-2.

Edinboro returns to action on Thursday, March 13 for their last match in Hilton Head Island, S.C. facing University of Missouri- St. Louis.
