Edinboro, Pa - The Fighting Scots men's and women's tennis programs will be back in action on Sunday, March 14 for non-conference action against Salem University. The match is slated for a 3:00 p.m. start at the Westwood Racquet Club in Erie.

After a month off from competition for the women and almost a full month off for the men, the programs are looking to both pick up their first wins of the season. Salem is playing just their second match of the season on the women's side and first for the men's team.
The Salem women's tennis team comes into the tilt with an 0-1 record after they fell to in-state opponent West Virginia State on Thursday, March 11 by a 5-1 final score. Just one other time have Salem and Edinboro faced-off on the women's side when in March of 2019, Salem defeated the Fighting Scots.
On the men's side, Edinboro holds a 2-0 all-time series record over the Tigers as the Fighting Scots have defeated them in both March of 2019 and 2020.

Gustavo Martins for Edinboro are both off to 2-1 starts in singles action on the young 2021 campaign and will look to continue their winning ways on Sunday to help the Fighting Scots put one in the win column. On the women's side, first-year
Kaede Tada comes into the match with a 1-1 record to her college career and will look to get back over .500 in singles.
Similar to Edinboro, the Salem University men's team features a young team with just one lone senior on their roster in Emanuel Nicodemo Mallya. As for the women's side, the Tigers feature just five student-athletes this season, but do have three upperclassmen in Ana Kunic, Iryna Rusyn, and Kristina Vuksanovic who provide experience for the team.
