Update on Fighting Scots competing in Mike Kowal Multi

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Three Fighting Scots from the women's program have competed in day one of the heptathlon at the Mike Kowal Multi being held at Slippery Rock University.

Current Standings

As of this afternoon, sophomore Jayna Galley (Holland NY/Holland) is in third place overall and placed second in shot put. She will look to close out tomorrow strong with three events remaining; long jump, javelin, and the 800 meter run. First-year Mallory Voegelin (Allegany, NY/Allegany-Limestone) is currently in tenth place overall in her first collegiate heptathlon. Teammate Allison Busha (Hamburg, NY/Nardin Academy) is also competing and currently is in fifteenth place after day one of competition.

The Mike Kowal Multi will continue into tomorrow, April 16, with the Bill Lenox Invitational also being held at Slippery Rock tomorrow for those competing in sprinting events.
