The team will look to get over .500 this weekend for the first time since March 23. Edinboro has gone 3-3 in their last six games with two wins over Slippery Rock and a win over Gannon. The trio of Lauren Gierlak (Edinboro, PA/General McLane), Maura Pasquale (Zelienople, PA/Seneca Valley), and Cheyenne Shughart (Shermansdale, PA/West Perry) continue to be a force in top of the Fighting Scots lineup. Each are hitting well over .300 and have combined for 20 extra base hits, 33 RBI's, and 37 runs so far on the campaign.

Mackenzie Quider (Sanborn, NY/Niagara Wheatfield) has continued her strong season in the middle part of the lineup, hitting .421 in the 12 games she has played. The program has also got solid starting pitching from Macy Sral  (Lilly, PA/Penn Cambria) and Lauren Bush (Painesville, Ohio/Riverside) who have proven to be a solid 1-2 punch as the starting pitchers for Edinboro. Sral is 5-3 on the year while Bush holds a 3-2 record.

IUP currently holds a 13-9 record overall with 12-8 mark in the PSAC. The Crimson Hawks have gotten great offensive output from Kaitlyn Beers this season who is among the PSAC leaders in batting average, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, hits, RBI's, and home runs. Hope Jones and Amanda Fischer have combined for 11 IUP victories and will likely be the two on the bump primarily for the Crimson Hawks this weekend.

IUP is currently fourth in the PSAC West with Edinboro not far behind in the standings in sixth place.
