Lock Haven, Pa. -- The Edinboro men's basketball team was selected eighth in the 2022-23 PSAC West Preseason Coaches' Poll announced Thursday by the conference office.
The Scots will have a new look with only two of their top seven scorers returning from a season ago. Edinboro will look to the veteran leadership of
Kierell Green who averaged 15.4 points and 10.8 rebounds per game before having his season cut short with an injury a season ago.
Dominique Keyes also averaged double figure scoring with 11.0 points as well as 9.0 rebounds per game.
IUP topped the preseason poll with eight first place votes ahead of Mercyhurst who also garnered a first-place vote. Cal, Pitt-Johnstown, Slippery Rock, Gann and Clarion check in ahead of the Scots with Seton Hill rounding out the West half of the poll.
The Scots open the season at the Fairmont State Invitational Nov. 11 & 12. They open at home on Nov. 26 against Salem University and PSAC play begins begins Dec. 2 at Millersville.
