Edinboro, Pa. –
Kylie Anicic improved her NCAA Provisional Time in the 5,000-meter run to lead the Edinboro indoor track team at the Boro Last Chance Invitational Friday night.
Anicic turned in a time of 16:47.87 in the 5K improving on her PSAC-best mark and turning in the 14
th best time in Division II.
Bailee Miara and
Megan Gourley competed in the 200-meter dash turning in times of 27.89 and 31.42 respectively. Amanda Willams finished sixth in the 800-meter with a time of 2:34.52.
In the 60-meter hurdles,
Jayna Galley crossed the line in 10.60 while Mallory Voeglin clocked in at 10.75.
The Scots sent out three 4x400 relay teams led by the quartet of
Abby Piert, Galley,
Kimberly Goerss and
Lauren Jacobs with a time of 4:14.94.
In the field events, Voegelin finished fourth in the high jump clearing 1.47 meters. Piert led the Edinboro athletes in the long jump going for 4.79 meters.
In the shot put,
Kenzie Lendon was the Scots top finisher at 11.63 meters.
Kendra Rice was right behind her at 11.57 meters.
Edinboro is back in action on Saturday Feb. 27 when they host the PSAC Championships.
