Box Score (New/Sortable Format) Flushing, Ny. – The Edinboro men's tennis team fell to Queens College 2-5 at the QC Tennis Bubble on Thursday afternoon ultimately, ending their winning streak. With the loss, the Scots fall to (5-4) overall.
Edinboro began the match by gaining an early lead in doubles play. With help from the duos of Ruben Acuna and Kaio Sacchi as well as Thibault Dorval and Maksymilian Braziewicz.
Dorval and Braziewicz got past Tim Ostheimer and Mariano Bibiloni with final of 6-4. Acuna and Sacchi were victorious 6-3, over Julius Schulte and Hugo Andrade de Evangelista. The two doubles victories for the Scots allowed them to clinch the doubles point.
In singles play the Knights came out on top as they would win five out of the six matches. For Edinboro, Acuna would give them their lone singles win for the afternoon. Acuna defeated Bibiloni in a close one 7-5, 6-3.
Edinboro will look to bounce back tomorrow afternoon when they match up with St. Thomas Aquinas College.
