Lewisburg, Pa. -- The Edinboro men's and women's track & field teams combined to for 17 PSAC qualifiers on Friday and Saturday at the Bison Outdoor Classic.
Ward Ries ran an NCAA provisional time of 9:05.71 in the 3K steeplechase which currently ranks 19th in DII.
Kylie Anicic also posted an NCAA provisional time in the 10K ranking 11th in the nation with a timeof 34:37.
On the men's side,
Matt Wehrle put up PSAC qualifying times in the 800 meter and 1,500 meter with times onf 1:54.35 and 3:56.56 respectively.
Jack Lacina posted a PSAC qualifying time of 15:07.81. Connor Volk-Klos also qualified for PSAC with a 5K time of 15:06.29.
Three Scots qualified for the conference meet in the 10K.
Nick Amos put up the top time crossing the line in a time of 30:36.77.
Danny Desmond put up a time of 30:43.66 while
Cole Hanks added a time of 30:59.82. A pair of javelin athletes also posted PSAC qualifying standards.
Will Rodgers posted a throw of 55.37 meters while
Trae Smith finished with a distance of 54.15 meters.
On the women's side,
Lauren Jacobs turned in a time of 2:20.82 in the 800 meter to qualify for the conference meet.
Olivia Roberts added a conference qualifying time of 18:33.10 in the 5K. In the 3K steeplechase,
Kimberly Goerss finished with a conference qualifying time of 11:08.62.
The shot put duo of
Kenzie Lendon and
Kendra Rice each posted PSAC qualifying throws. Lendon checked in with a throw of 12.10 meters and Rice's throw checked in at 11.74 meters.
The Scots are back in action on Thursday at Slippery Rock.
