Slippery Rock, Pa. -- In their first meet of the weekend, the Edinboro track & field teams had 11 athletes compete at the Slippery Rock University Invitational.
Kenzie Lendon and
Kendra Rice both improved on their PSAC qualifying throws in the shot put with distances of 12.18 and 11.79 meters respectively.
Hannah Sedlak also threw in the shot put with a distance of 10.60 meters. Sedlak and Lendon finished in seventh and eighth with Sedlak recording a distance of 30.57 meters and Lendon a 30.48 meter throw.
Hannah Cox tossed the javelin 27.12 meters.Â
Mallory Voegelin finished in a time of 1:11.11 in the 400 meter hurdles good for fourth place at the meet.
Leah Czechowski was third in the long jump with a distance of 5.05 meters.Â
Nick Northrup turned in a time of 56.90 in the 400 meter.
Will Rodgers turned in a javelin throw of 53.41 meters while
Trae Smith added a throw of 50.72 meters.Â
The Scots are back in action on Sunday at Penn State Behrend.
