Erie, Pa. – The Edinboro track & field teams competed at the Penn State Behrend Open with the women added a pair of PSAC qualifying times.
Kimberly Goerss turned in a PSAC qualifying time in the 5K with a time of 18:40.77.
Mallory Voegelin also punched her ticket to the conference championship meet with a time of 1:07.61 in the 400-meter hurdles.
Leah Czechowski and
Lauren Jacobs finished first and second in the 100 meter dash with times of 12.80 and 13.39 respectively. Jacobs also posted a second place finish in the 400 meter with a time of 1:00.59. Czechowski topped the long jump standing with a distance of 5.03 meters.
Jayna Galley,
Olivia Roberts and
Kate Szep each competed in the 800 meter. Galley posted a time of 2:32.20 while Roberts crossed the line in 2:34.25. Szep added a time of 2:40.14. Gallye also turned the top javelin trhow with a distance of 34.70.
Kenzie Lendon had the meet's top distance in the shot put with a throw of 11.95 meters.
Hannah Sedlak was second at 10.34 meters. Sedlak was the top thrower in the discus with a toss of 34.15 meters.
Lauren Dietrich was second in the discus with a throw of 33.13 meters.
On the men's side,
Matthew James-Thrower placed second in the 400 meter with a time of 52.59. Stephen Dimitridais was fifth with a time of 57.38. Dimitridais was fourth in the 100 meter crossing the line in 11.62.
Dylan Leach turned ina tiem of 25.36 in the 200 meter.
Cole Friend topped the men's 1,500 with a time of 4:09.20.
Nick Northrup was third in the 800 meter with a time of 2:05.09.
Trae Smith was first in the javelin with a throw of 54.81 meters.
Will Rodgers checked in with a distance of 51.73 and
Craig Zuccolotto finished fourth with a distance of 44.22 meters. Zuccolotto also competed in the shot put (11.57 m), discus (37.56 m) and hammer (41.39 m).
The Scots return to action on Saturday with a trip to West Virginia University.
