Edinboro, Pa -- The Edinboro men's tennis team will travel to Bloomsburg University this weekend for the 2022 PSAC Men's Tennis Championship tournament. Top seed Edinboro will face fourth ranked Bloomsburg at 11 a.m. on Friday for the semifinals round.

-The Fighting Scots enter the postseason with a dominant regular season record of (12-5) overall and (5-0) in PSAC play.
-Edinboro won its final seven matches, including five straight within the conference.
-The Scots are ranked first in the PSAC conference, second in the Atlantic Region, and 64th in the national rankings.
-All of Edinboro's losses this year were against teams ranked among the top 60 in the nation
-Ruben Acuna leads the Scots in Singles play with a (16-1) record while winning his last seven in a row. Acuna was named PSAC West Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week back in March and remains one of the top players in the Atlantic Region.
-Acuna is followed by Thibault Dorval who was also recently selected as the PSAC Tennis Athlete of the Week. Dorval holds an (11-4) singles record on the season, and was unbeaten in conference play.
-The dominance doesn't stop there, Bruno Sabio and Gustavo Martins are both (12-5) in Singles. Sabio currently owns the longest winning streak on the team with eight straight victories.
-Sabio was named Rebich Investments Scot of the Week last Monday for his recent performance.
-Acuna, Dorval, Sabio, and Martins all posted undefeated records in PSAC play.
-In doubles, the duo of Acuna and Kaio Sacchi are (12-1) on the season.
-Dorval and Maksymilian Braziewicz have also been dominant with their (11-3) record together.
#4 Bloomsburg Scouting Report
-Bloomsburg comes into the postseason with a (6-10) record overall and (3-2) in conference play
-Back on Apr. 8, Edinboro defeated the Huskies in a dominant fashion with a 6-1 final.
-In the match, Edinboro swept doubles and only dropped the singles match between Sacchi and Scott Redmond.
-Redmond is the Huskies' top singles player, as he holds a (8-2) record.
What's next
The PSAC tournament is built upon a single elimination format. With a win, Edinboro will move onto the championship round the following day, to face the winner of Mercyhurst and Millersville.
