Youngstown, Ohio -- The Edinboro indoor track team had two athletes compete and post PSAC qualifying times at Penn State while four other athletes turned in PSAC qualifying performances at the YSU Mid-Major Open Friday and Saturday.
Saturday at Penn State, Kylie Anicic posted an NCAA provisional time of 9:29.56 in the 3K. Her time is the top mark in the PSAC and the sixth best mark in Division II. Anicic also currently holds the top time in the nation in the 5K and the 13th best time in the mile.
Kimberly Goerss competed at Penn State in the 5K and crossed the line in a PSAC auto-qualifying time of 17:41.13.
At Youngstown State, Bernadette Zukina ran a 59.69 in the 400-meter to qualify for the PSAC Championship meet.
Three field athletes put up PSAC qualifying performances. Madeline Newark cleared 1.56 meters in the high jump. Mackenzie Fletcher posted the PSAC's sixth best distance in the long jump at 5.48 meters. Kenzie Lendon posted her season best in the shot put with a throw of 12.1 meters.
The Scots had two athletes competing in the 60-meter dash with Fletcher posting a time of 8.29 and Skyler Blough came in at 9.35. In the 200-meter dash, Bailee Miara ran a time of 27.73 and Blough finished in 30.36.
In addition to Zukina in the 400, Fletcher turned in a time of 1:01.91. Miara added a time of 1:04.02 and Mackenzie Huston finished in 1:04.30. Alexa Trax ran the 800 for the Scots in a time of 2:36.61.
Trax also ran the mile in a time of 5:38.65. Sheilah Cheruiyot also ran the mile crossing the line in 5:31.86.
Five Scots ran the 60-meter hurdles with Huston leading the way at a time of 10.16. Jayna Galley posted a 10.56 while Newark added a time of 11.01. Mallory Voegelin finished in 11.12 and Megan Gourley turned in a time of 11.38.
Galley cleared 1.52 meters in the high jump while Voegelin jumped 1.51 meters.
Lauren Dietrich recorded a shot put throw of 8.45 meters. Lendon also competed in the weight throw with a distance of 13.57 meters.
The Scots are back in action on Friday when they travel to the Ashland Open.
