Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro women's soccer team plays a pair of PSAC West contests on the schedule this week with a trip to Seton Hill on Wednesday and a home game against California (PA) on Saturday.
Last Time Out
The Scots are coming off a 2-2 draw against IUP last Friday. Edinboro trailed 2-0 before
Emily Vogel tied the game with just over 20 minutes to play.
Teaghan Watkins scored the equalizer with just 5:26 to play when she bent a corner kick into the net.
On Frame
The Fighting Scots are one of the nation's best teams when it comes to shooting accuracy. Edinboro ranks third in the nation in shot accurarcy at .670 shots on goal percentage.
Offensive Output
Vogel leads the Scots wtih six goals on the season. She ranks second in the PSAC in goals scored just one behind the league leader Brooklyn Respecki.
Sophia Depew is second on the Edinboro squad in goals with two. Six other Scots have scored on the season.
In Net
Kaylee Lauriel has started all nine games in net for the Fighting Scots. She has a 1.22 goals against average and a .784 save percentage.
PSAC West Outlook
The Wednesday contest with Seton Hill will complete the first half of the PSAC West schedule. The Scots are currently in fifth two points behind IUP who is in the final postseason spot.
First Time Against Cal
The second round of PSAC West contests starts on Saturday when the Scots host Cal. Edinboro topped the Vulcans 2-0 with goals from
Reece Enochs and Vogel back on Sept. 9.
Scouting the Griffins
Seton Hill is 2-5-1 overall and 1-5-1 in the PSAC West after falling 2-0 to Gannon. Jessica Molitoris and Emma Rain lead the Griffins with two goals each. Samantha Hallo and Corynnna Rotoli have each scored once. Lindsey Pazdziorko has started seven games in net with a .750 save percentage and a 1.42 goals against average.
Scouting the Vulcans
Cal brings a 2-6-2 overall record and 1-5-2 conference mark into Saturday's contest after falling 5-0 to Mercyhurst on Tuesday. Reagan Bromiley and Lorina Romeis have five pionts each on two goals and one assist. Christyana Sims ads one goal and two helpers. Emily Ouiment has started all 10 games in net making 55 saves for a .775 save percentage and a 1.64 goals against average.
