University Park, Pa. – The Edinboro track and field team added two more PSAC automatic qualifiers as the Scots competed in their final tune up before next weekend's PSAC Championships.
Lauren Jacobs crossed the line in 2:22.66 in the 800 meter finishing fifth at the meet and posting a PSAC auto qualifying time. Sheilah Cheruiyot also turned in a PSAC auto qualifying time of 10:38.82 in the 3K where she finished 10
th.
The Scots had three other runners in the 3K with
Olivia Roberts finishing in 11
th with a time of 10:43.31. Jacobs crossed the line in 10:58.94 good for 14
th place while
Alexa Trax was 16
th in a time of 10:59.63.
Bernadette Zukina placed fifth in the 400 meter run with a time of 1:00.23. She also ran in the 60 meter finishing in a time of 8.32.
Edinboro had a pair of top-10 finishers in the shot put led by
Kenzie Lendon in fifth with a throw of 11.27 meters. Kyann Brundage added a seventh place throw of 10.37 meters. Lendon was seventh in the weight throw with a toss of 13.6 meters.
The Scots will compete at the PSAC Championships next Saturday on the campus of Bucknell University.
