Indiana, Pa. – The Edinboro track & field teams had a strong day led by a pair of first-place finishes from
Kenzie Lendon at the Ed Fry Invitational Saturday.
Lendon was finished first in the hammer throw with a toss of 44.53 meters. She also picked up a first-place finish in the shot put throwing 11.55 meters. Lendon also posted a throw of 31.79 meters in the discus to earn a second-place finish.
In addition to Lendon,
Ryann Brundage also earned a first-place finish with a throw of 39.53 meters in the javelin. On the men's side, Sam Hartman ran a time of 51.38 in the 400-meter hurdles.
Bernadette Zukina picked up a pair of top five times in the 200-meter and 400-meter yard dashes. She was second in the 400 with a time of 57.60 and third in the 200 crossing the line in 25.99.
The Scots picked up third-place distances in both the men's and women's long jump.
Mackenzie Fletcher posted a distance of 4.97 meters while
Dylan Leach jumped 6.12 meters.
Hannah Cox turned in a fourth-place throw of 29.69 meters in the javelin.
Fletcher also ran the 200-meter dash crossing the line in 26.34 good for fifth place.
Bailee Miara was fifth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:10.82.
Mallory Voegelin ran a time of 1:17.18 for eighth.
Hayden Skinner was fifth in the men's 400-meter hurdles in a time of 57.95.
In the men's javelin,
Bobby Yost finished sixth with a throw of 47.20 meters.
Will Rodgers threw the javelin 43.96 meters to finish ninth.
The Scots also got a top-10 finish from Frank Barger running a 16.92 in the 110 meter hurdles good for sixth as well as
Skyler Blough and
Megan Gourley who finished eighth and ninth in the 100-meter hurdles with times of 18.93 and 19.04 respectively.
The Scots are back in action next weekend at the Tomcat Open and Bison Outdoor Classic.
