Slippery Rock, Pa. – The Edinboro women's track & field squad continued their outdoor season at the John Papa Invitational at Slippery Rock on Thursday.
Madeline Newark posted a time of 26.00 to place seventh in the 200-meter.
Mackenzie Huston also ran the 200 in a time of 26.76 to take 19
th. Huston also ran the 400 meter taking eighth with a time of 1:01.17.
In the 800 meter,
Madeline Hammond crossed the line in 2:26.84 to take 10
th.
Jacey Cihak was seventh in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:10.41.
The Scots had a pair of entries in the long jump with
Maddison Doren jumping 5.32 meters to take seventh. Newark posted a distance of 4.92 meters to take 12
th. Newark also threw the shot put posting a distance of 11.23 meters to take 20
th.
In the discus,
Anna Elder was 13
th with a throw of 35.70 meters. Jilian Kline threw 23.88 meters to place 29
th. Elder also competed in the hammer throw placing sixth with a toss of 48.17 meters. Kline was 27
th with a throw of 31.95 meters.
The Scots are back in action on April 26 when they travel to Shippensburg for the Paul Kaiser Classic.
