Pittsburgh, Pa. – Three Fighting Scots posted PSAC Championship qualifying marks as the Edinboro women's track & field squad competed at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
Bernadette Zukina won the 400-meter with an NCAA provisional time of 55.48. Zukina added a seventh-place finish in the 200-meter with a time of 25.05.
Mackenzie Huston also ran the 200 in a time of 27.45 to take 37
th.
In the 1,500-meter,
Kadi Bauer ran a 4:44.91 good for seventh place and a PSAC qualifying mark.
Kate Szep crossed the line in 5:02.80 to take 30
th.
Magdalena Jakubowska was 34
th in a time of 5:04.13.
Jocelyn Wilson was 40
th in 5:08.85 while Kate Shope turned in a time of 5:15.21 to take 45
th.
Eden Rush was the third Scot to hit a PSAC qualifying mark throwing the javelin 40.14 meters placing third. Rush also threw discus finishing 33
rd with a throw of 26.02 meters.
Maddison Doren was 27
th in the 100-meter crossing the line in 13.31. The Scots entered a trio of athletes in the 800-meter.
Eliza Miller was 21
st in a time of 2:23.99. Bauer ran a time of 2:24.35 good for 22
nd.
Madeline Hammond posted a time of 2:30.82 to place 45
th.
Madeline Newark placed sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.44. In the 400-meter hurdles, Huston placed fourth in a time of 1:06.90.
Jacey Cihak added an 18
th place finish in a time of 1:13.55.
The quartet of Huston, Newark, Doren and Zukina placed third in the 4x100 relay with a time of 48.53.
Doren placed seventh in the long jump clearing 5.12 meters. Newark jumped 5.05 meters to take 14
th.
The Scots are back in action on Friday with a trip to the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock.
