Youngstown, Ohio – The Edinboro women's indoor track team opened the 2024-25 season at the Youngstown State Icebreaker on Friday.
Burnadette Zukina finished 10
th in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.05 moving into 5
th in Edinboro history.
Maddision Doren also ran the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.22 to finish in 20
th and enter the Edinboro Top 10.
Mackenzie Fletcher posted a time of 8.49 to take 32
nd.
Both Doren and Fletcher appeared in the long jump with Doren posting a distance of 5.23 meters to finish 13
th while Fletcher was 20
th with a distance of 5.04 meters.
A trio of Scots competed in the 400-meter dash led by
Mackenzie Huston who better her personal best by over a second with a time of 63.15. Fletcher added a time of 63.34 and
Jacey Cihak added a time of 66.40.
All three throwers for the Fighting Scots turned in personal bests led by
Eden Rush with a distance of 9.98 meters to take 12
th.
Jillian Kline was 29
th with a distance of 8.39 meters and Emily Snippet added a 39th place finish with a throw of 7.11 meters.
The Scots return to action on Jan. 17 with a trip back to Youngstown for the YSU Collegiate Invitational.
