Geneva, Ohio –
Bernadette Zukina broke the Edinboro-record in the 400-meter dash as the Fighting Scots competed for the final time ahead of the PSAC Championships.
Zukina turned in an NCAA provisional time of 57.00 seconds in the 400 to claim the top spot in Edinboro history. Mazkenzie Fletcher also added a PSAC qualifying time of 59.77 in the 400.
Bailee Miara crossed the line in 1:04.10 in the 400.
Mallory Voegelin placed 11
th in the 600 meter run with a time of 1:52.33.
Lauren Jacobs posted a time of 2:25.74 in the 800 meter while Madelin Hammond finished in 2:32.30 good for 51
st.
In the 3K,
Katie Slimon turned in a PSAC mark of 10:34.36 good for 10
th while
Jocelyn Wilson added a time of 11:32.03.
Alexa Trax was 12
th in the 5K with a time of 19:27.97.
The Scot 4x400 relay team of
Madeline Newark, Jacobs Makenzie Fletcher and Zukina finished 12
th with a time of 4:11.82.
Fletcher led the Scots in the long jump with a PSAC qualifying mark of 5.35 meters to finish 12
th. Maddison Doren was 20
th at 5.23 meters and Newark was 39
th at 4.77 meters. Doren also posted a distance of 10.15 meters in the triple jump good for 17
th.
In the shot put,
Kenzie Lendon scored a best throw of 11.39 meters for 27
th place while
Anna Elder was 43
rd with a toss of 10.36 meters. Elder notched the Scots best weight throw with a mark of 14.16 meters for 18
th place and Lendon was 23
rd with a throw of 13.75 meters.
The Scots are back in action on Sunday at the PSAC Championships.
