Wheelchair Basketball Drops Four Games at Missouri Invitational

Columbia, Mo. – The Edinboro wheelchair basketball team dropped four games at the Missouri Invitational on the weekend.
 
In the opening game, the Scots dropped a 63-58 decision to host Missouri. Edinboro held a 13-12 lead after the first quarter, but Missouri answered with an 18-12 second quarter to take a 30-25 lead into the half. Edinboro cut the lead to 45-41 at the end of the third. Missouri held off the Scots for the 63-58 win.
 
James Pollard led the Scots with 27 points to go with nine rebounds and seven assists. Isaiah Johnson tallied 13 points while Jeremy Evans added 10 points and nine boards.
 
In Friday's second contest, Edinboro fell 82-70 to Southwest Minnesota State. The Mustangs built a 45-32 lead at the half and held off a second half push from the Scots for the victory.
 
Pollard again led the Scot offense with 26 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Evans recorded a double-double with 16 points, 10 helpers and seven rebounds. Johnson netted 15 points and nine rebounds. Dakarai Moore also scored in double figures with 12 points.
 
In the first game on Saturday, the Scots dropped a 65-60 decision to Missouri. The game went back-and-forth with eight ties and nine lead changes with the Tigers coming out in front.
 
Pollard just missed a triple-double with 24 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds. Evans netted 25 points and 10 rebounds.
 
In the final contest of the tournament the Scots fell 68-39 to Arizona. Evans paced the offense with 13 points, eight assists and two rebounds. Moore notched 10 points and four boards.
