Flushings, N.Y. – The Edinboro wheelchair basketball team had a strong showing going 4-1 at the City University of New York Invitational.
The Scots opened the tournament with a 66-33 victory over Michigan.
Jeremy Evans paced Edinboro with 17 points and seven rebounds. Dakari Moore tallied 10 points and six helpers.
In the second contest, Edinboro tallied a 68-60 victory over CUNY. Evans notched a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds. Moore notched a double-double with 18 points and 11 helpers.
Jordan McCown also added 18 points.
In the opener on day two, the Scots dropped a tough 63-61 decision to CUNY. Evans scored a game-high 25 points to go with six rebounds and five assists. Moore and McCown each finished with 14 points.
The Scots came back with a 58-42 victory over Michigan.
Noah Gorecki paced the offense with 14 points. Moore added a triple-double with 13 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists. McCown added 12 points.
Edinboro closed the weekend with an 80-63 win over CUNY. Evans had an incredible contest scoring 48 points on 21-of-28 shooting to go with 12 rebounds.
Isaiah Johnson added 11 points.
