Geneva, Ohio – The Edinboro indoor track & field team competed at the SPIRE Collegiate Indoor Games on Saturday.
Anna Elder led the Scot field athletes with a throw of 15.03 meters in the weight throw finishing eighth.
Jillian Kline added a throw of 9.47 meters to take 32
nd. Elder also placed 14
th in the shot put with a throw of 11.10 meters.
The Scots had three athletes in the long jump. Maddison Doren led the way with a jump of 5.13 meters to take 14
th.
Madeline Newark was 40
th with a jump of 4.53 meters.
Kaci Smith rounded out the Edinboro entries with a jump of 4.16 meters to take 46
th.
Edinboro also had three competitors in the 200-meter dash. Newark crossed the line in 26.49 to take 17
th.
Mackenzie Huston was 27
th in a time of 27.29 and
Jacey Cihak ran a 29.06 to take 54
th.
Huston paced a group of four runners in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.65 good for 21
st. Cihak was 36
th in 1:06.48 and
Mackenzie Fletcher ran a time of 1:07.70 to take 41
st. Hammond was the fourth Scot taking 45
th in 1:10.29.
Katie Shope ran a 5:34.48 mile to take 29
th.
Lily Bement added a 52
nd place finish in the mile with a time of 6:32.53.
The Scots are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Ashland for their final tune up before the PSAC Championships.
