Erie, Pa. -- The Edinboro men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to visiting Walsh Saturday at the Westwood Racquet Club in their season opener.
Gerardo Garido Guzman and
Fabricio Sosa Pons teamed up to get a 7-6 win at number three, but the Cavaliers took the doubles point as Luis Hernandez and Joan Dasi defeated Rocco Palomabrini and Sanislas Noel 6-3 and Lukas Kohler and Ben Hoffman were 6-4 victors over
Leon Grassnickel and
Mathis Amsellem.
In singles action,
Thomas Buchard picked up a win for the Scots at number three by score of 7-6, 6-3 over Dasi. Sosa added a win at number four, 6-3, 7-5 over Kohler.
Guillermo Rodriguez was the third singles points for the Scots defeating Kan Balali 7-6, 6-2.
The Scots return to action on Saturday with a trip to the University of Northwestern Ohio.
