Charleston, W.Va. – The Edinboro men's tennis team defeated No. 6 Charleston 4-2 Saturday evening.
The Scots got out to a good start taking two of three doubles matches to earn the team point.
Stanislas Noel and Mathis Amellem scored a 6-2 decision over Omar Elsamahy and Alberto Nordio.
Nils Weskamp and
Guillermo Rodriguez combined for a 7-5 victory over Nils Pottbecker and Max Bolay.
Noel also scored a singles victory at number two defeating Elsamahy 6-4, 6-4.
Thomas Buchard also picked up a singles win at number three over Jules Alias 7-6. 2-6, 6-4.
Leon Grassnickel was a straight set winner 6-3, 6-3 to score the fourth team point for the Scots.
The Scots are back in action next Saturday when they take on Mercyhurst.
