Geneva, Ohio—The Edinboro women's track & field team started the spring semester with multiple PSAC qualifying times at the Spire Midwest Open on Saturday.
Jada Cole led the way for the Scots clearing 1.70 meters in the high jump an NCAA provisional mark and a first-place finish at the meet.
Bernadette Zukina won the 200-meter with a 25.27 a PSAC qualifying mark. The Scots also took home a first-place finish in the 4x400 relay with
Mackenzie Huston, Maddie Hays, Noa Arlandis Bernet and Zukina crossing the line in 3:57.87.
Anna Elder posted a PSAC mark in the weight throw finishing second with a throw of 16.06 meters.
Hays finished eighth in the 200-meters with a time of 26.20.
Morgan Wilhelm ran a 59.87 to place sixth. In the 60-meters hurdles, Hays was seventh in a time of 9.43, a PSAC qualifying mark, while
Madeline Newark was eighth in 9.55.
Newark was fifth in the long jump covering 5.22 meters and Ava Deangelo was ninth with a jump of 4.85 meters. Newark tossed the shot put 11.09 meters to take eighth. Cole jumped 10.77 meters in the triple jump to place fifth.
The Scots are back in action on Friday when they travel to Youngstown State.
