Allendale, Mich. – The Edinboro track & field teams were in action on Friday in the first day of the Grand Valley State Big Meet.
 
Katie Slimon posted a time of 18:16.39 in the 5K to finish third. Jocelyn Wilson also competed in the 5K placing 24^th in a time of 18:30.48.
 
 Bernadette Zukina ran a 56.10 in the 400 meter to take seventh. Madison Hays came in 28^th in the 400 with a PSAC qualifying time of 58.72.
 
Anna Elder was 11^th in the weight throw with a toss of 16.31 meters.
 
The Scots will compete at the Big Meet as well as the Spire Indoor Games on Saturday.
