STORYLINE
Edinboro (13-3, 10-2 PSAC) enters Saturday riding a four-game winning streak, including victories over two nationally-ranked teams in the past week. The Fighting Scots remain at home and host Slippery Rock (4-12, 3-9 PSAC). Edinboro owns six consecutive victories over The Rock, sweeping the season series in the past three seasons.

SCOUTING SLIPPERY ROCK
The Rock has dropped three straight games, losing at home to California (Pa.), 75-58, on Wednesday night. Slippery Rock previously dropped PSAC West contests to Mercyhurst (60-44) and Lock Haven (74-62). The Rock has proven capable of pulling upsets, however, defeating Kutztown, the second-place team in the PSAC East, 66-60 on Jan. 12 at home.

Senior guard Erinne Cunningham paces The Rock at 10.3 points per game, adding 1.8 assists. Sophomore forward D'Asia Chambers, a former St. Bonaventure recruit from Sharon, adds 10.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per night. Slippery Rock ranks 14th in the PSAC in both scoring offense (57.3 ppg) and defense (70.4 ppg allowed). The Rock was selected to finish eighth in the PSAC West in the preseason coaches' poll and is currently tied for seventh with Lock Haven.

SERIES HISTORY VS. THE ROCK
Slippery Rock leads, 51-38

Edinboro has won six straight games vs. its PSAC West rival, sweeping the season series in the past three years. Last year, the Fighting Scots held The Rock under 40 points in both games, scoring a 68-37 win at SRU on Jan. 21, 2012 before registering a 62-39 victory on Feb. 11 at McComb Fieldhouse. Slippery Rock's last win in the series came on Feb. 14, 2009 at Edinboro  in a 73-64 decision. Last season, Samantha Blazetic posted 18 points and nine rebounds in the first meeting and then 19 points and 14 rebounds in the second game of the season vs The Rock.

RECORD-SETTING BLOCK PARTY
The Fighting Scots put on a display of blocks in their victory over No. 19 Indiana (Pa.) on Wednesday, racking up a school-record 15 swats. Senior Samantha Blazetic led the way with eight blocks, tying her own Edinboro record in the process. She had previously tallied eight blocks as a freshman at Clarion in a 94-85 win on Jan. 30, 2010.

IN LIMITED COMPANY
Not only did Samantha Blazetic put her name in the Edinboro record book again with her eight blocks on Wednesday, but she also reached two even more prestigious stats. Her blocks total against IUP gave her 258 as a Fighting Scot, allowing her to leapfrog into third place all-time among PSAC players in blocks. She passed both Clarion's Carlita Jones (253 between 1991-95) and California (Pa.)'s Susie Gyarfas (254, 2001-03) and now is 10 blocks away from tying Amy Wolf, who finished her career at Bloomsburg (1984-88) with 268 swats.

The senior also pulled in six rebounds on the night, leaving her with exactly 700 for her career. Blazetic is now just the eighth player in Edinboro history to score 1,000 points and record 700 rebounds. She becomes the second player in as many seasons to accomplish the feat – Renee' Brown reached the status as a senior a year ago, finishing with 1,430 points and 735 rebounds.

ROLE REVERSAL SUITS SCOTS
A year ago, Edinboro rose to the top five in the national rankings, reaching a height of No. 2 in the country. As a result, the Fighting Scots entered nearly every game as the favorite with their PSAC rivals looking to pull the upset. This season, the roles have been reversed in several games as Edinboro has played the role of the underdog. The Fighting Scots, receiving votes in the national rankings but sitting outside the Top 25, knocked off two nationally-ranked squads at home within a span of seven days – defeating then-No. 6 Gannon, 65-52, on Jan. 16 and then upsetting No. 19 IUP, 73-62 on Jan. 23. In both games, Edinboro forced their opposition into uncharacteristic stats – neither Gannon nor IUP were able to record a single 3-pointer against Edinboro despite Gannon pacing the PSAC in 3-point shooting and IUP ranking third prior to their trips to McComb Fieldhouse. IUP had entered their match with the Boro leading the PSAC in scoring defense (54.1 ppg) and had allowed 70 points or more just twice in 17 games, but surrendered nearly 20 points more than their season average in the defeat.

60 IS THE MAGIC NUMBER
Edinboro has proven extremely difficult to beat in recent seasons, compiling one of the best records in all of NCAA Division II with an overall record of 69-9 since the beginning of the 2010-11 campaign. That winning percent goes up even more when the Fighting Scots reach 60 points. Dating back to the 2010-11 season, Edinboro is 68-2 when scoring 60 or more points.

HALFWAY THERE
The Fighting Scots have been able to lock down victories when leading at halftime so far this season, posting an undefeated record when leading at intermission. Edinboro is 12-0 when leading at the half thus far on the year.
