#11 Laurel Lindsay (G/F, 5-11, Jr.) -Â One of only two players to start every game last season,
Laurel Lindsay is back for her third season with the Fighting Scots. Lindsay was an all-around contributer, notching 7.0 points per game while also pulling in 5.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists. All of those numbers were top five on the team.
#13 Aignee Freeland (F/C, 6-3, So.)Â -Â Aignee Freeland was impressive in her debut season for the Fighting Scots. She was named the PSAC West Freshman of the Year after averaging a double-double in her senior season of high school. Freeland averaged 7.6 points and rebounds per game while starting in 23 of 29 games. She also led the team in shooting percentage, hitting 52.8 percent of her shots. Freeland averaged more then a block per game, which was second on the team. Arugably her best game came in the biggest moment, as she scored 20 points against California (Pa.) in the NCAA Tournament Atlantic Regional.

#33Â DeVonyea Johnson (G, 5-8, Sr.) - Johnson led all players with 22 points scored against Slippery Rock. Averaged 11.1 points per game last year, third on the team, and also led the team in assists.
#23Â Kate Francisco (F, 6-1, Jr.) - The Kent State transfer is the top returning scorer to the team from last year in which she averaged 12.3 points per game. Francisco averaged 6.3 rebounds per game last year and scored 14 points while hauling in 9 rebounds in the season-opening win 83-63 over Slippery Rock.
STORYLINE
The Fighting Scots (0-0) and Urbana Blue Knights (1-0) square off in the Fighting Scots home and season opener Tuesday night in McComb Fieldhouse. Edinboro played an exhibition match against St. Bonaventure, losing 65-43. The Scots held a brief lead early in the contest, but were unable to hang with the Division I Bonnies in the second half.
Laurel Lindsay led the team with 11 points. Three players lead the team in rebounds with five, including Lindsay as well as newcomers
Valerie Majewski and
Nicole Johnson. Edinboro was able to outrebound St. Bonaventure 36-35 and the Fighting Scots bench outscored the Bonnies bench 15-10.

SCOUTING URBANA
Urbana enters the match coming off a victory against Slippery Rock, 83-63. In the contest, Urbana never trailed and was only ever tied once, at the opening score of 0-0. The Blue Knights poured it on The Rock in the second half, scoring 52 points and outscoring them by 14 points. Four different Blue Knights scored in double-digits, including being led by 22 from DeVonyea Johnson. Urbana's leading returning scorer, Kate Francisco, chipped in 14 points as well as nine rebounds. Johnson also had nine rebounds in the game while Katy barkley snagged eight boards off of the bench. The Blue Knights have one player with experience playing against Edinboro in the PSAC, Gannon transfer Jeni Jordan. Jordan started Urbana's opening game of the season and had two points, three rebounds, and three assists. She played in one game against Edinboro in 2011-12 as a freshman, playing 11 minutes off the bench and scoring four points. Jordan averaged 2.9 points per game her only season at Gannon. The Blue Knights are led by Kristina Danella. She is currently the interim head coach after Danny Wingate stepped down in November. Danella attended Division I Martist for three seasons following her transfer from UMass. All three seasons Danella was at Marist, the Red Foxes made the NCAA Tournament.

SERIES HISTORY VS. THE BLUE KNIGHTS
Edinboro leads, 1-0
The last and only time these two programs met, Edinboro won in convincing fashion, 84-59. The game occured on December 19, 2010 in McComb Fieldhouse. The Fighting Scots still have six players on the roster that played in that game, including
Laurel Lindsay who started in the contest. The Blue Knights have two current starters who also started in that game, Jackie Cousineau and Devonyea Johnson. The two combined to shoot zero for six from the field, but Johnson did contribute seven rebounds, which tied for the second highest in the game. Off the bench for the Fighting Scots,
Hope Mancini scored 13 points which was her season-high for the year and the second most she has scored in a game in her career. Micki Cerchiaro was the game's leading scorer as she had 19 points but also led the way with 12 steals and seven rebounds. The Fighting Scots forced 39 turnovers. Urbana's leading scorer was Unique Lane with 14 points.
