#30 Valerie Majewski (G, 5-7, Jr.) - Making her Fighting Scots debut, Valerie Majewski scored 21 points against Urbana to lead the team. She only missed two minutes of the game and also contributed seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

#11 Aignee' Freeland (F/C, 6-3, So.) - After being honored as the PSAC West Freshman of the Year, Aignee' Freeland started off the 2013-14 season on a strong note. She had 16 points and 15 rebounds against Urbana, both numbers being the second highest of her career. It was also her third career double-double.

#33 Kayla DeCriscio (G, 5-7, So.) - A three-point specialist, Kayla DeCriscio comes into the game as one of the leading scorers in the PSAC and already has two 20-point games this season. In the Lady Cats last game, she only scored 13 points and it was the first time this year she made less then seven three-pointers in a game.

#1 Jasmine Harper (F, 6-0, So.) - Jasmine Harper has been a force in the paint early this season for Pitt-Johnstown and is coming off a career-high 23 points against Indiana (Pa.). She was the WVIAC Freshman of the Year last year.

STORYLINE
After finally opening the 2013-14 season on Tuesday with a win over Urbana 81-64, Edinboro hits the road for the first time this season for a Saturday matinee with Pitt-Johnstown (1-2). This will be the first PSAC game of the season for the Fighting Scots and the first time they have played the Lady Cats since the 2006-07 season. This will also be the second straight match for the Fighting Scots have faced an opposing coach in their first season at the helm, as Mike Drahos took over the Lady Cats in July after being an assistant at West Liberty (W.Va.). Edinboro has had success recently in PSAC openers, winning by an average of 32.5 points the last two seasons in its first conference game of the year.

SCOUTING PITT-JOHNSTOWN
Fresh off a 96-72 loss to Indiana (Pa.) in its PSAC debut, Pitt-Johnstown comes into the game against Edinboro with a 1-2 record. While the Lady Cats have had success scoring this season, averaging 81 points per game, they have allowed 81.7 per game, the third-most in the PSAC. Their defense is also allowing opposing teams to shoot 38.5 percent on three-pointers, the fourth highest clip allowed in the conference. In its opening PSAC bout against IUP, Pitt-Johnstown allowed the Crimson Hawks to shoot a scorching 68.8 three-point percentage. Lindsay Stamp all scorers with 35 points for IUP and was perfect from deep, going seven-for-seven on three-pointers. Jasmine Harper led all Lady Cats in scoring as she scored 23 points and is now 30th in the conference in points per game with 13.3 per game. Their leading scorer and second-highest scorer in the conference, Kayla DeCriscio, had an off night scoring only 13 points and shot just 30 percent from the field. That was the first time this year DeCriscio did not score at least 20 points. Kelsey Sleighter leads the team in assists (5.0) and assist/turnover ratio (1.9), both of which she is also tied for fourth in the PSAC.

These two programs traded victories in their two most recent games, with Pitt-Johnstown coming out victorious the last time. Edinboro trailed only 28-26 at halftime but allowed 45 second half points in the 73-65 loss. Kelly Calderone led all scorers with 30 points for the Fighting Scots while playing all 40 minutes. The Lady Cats also had two players go the distance, as Alison Krischer scored 22 points and Jessica Zapf had a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Pitt-Johnstown shot 75 percent from three-point in the game, while Edinboro only hit five of their 21 attempts (23.8 percent). The Fighting Scots were outrebounded by 13. Edinboro also received zero points and zero rebounds from its bench, whereas the Lady Cats had 25 bench points and eight bench rebounds.

LAST TIME OUT - EDINBORO 81, URBANA 64
The Fighting Scots started their season out with a 81-64 victory over Urbana. The Blue Knights were coming off a commanding 83-63 victory over fellow PSAC member, Slippery Rock. Edinboro did not allow a single three-pointer on 11 attempts which was key to overcoming a 40-37 halftime deficit. Three Fighting Scots scored in double-figures with Valerie Majewski leading the way with 21 points in her first game as a Fighting Scot. Hope Mancini scoring a career-high 20 points and Aignee' Freeland picking up a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds. The Scots used multiple second half runs to pull away with the victory, including a 14-5 run to end the game.
