#30 Valerie Majewski (G, 5-7, Jr.) - Valerie Majewski is off to a good start to her Edinboro career, leading the team with 17 points per game and eighth in the PSAC. Her 3.7 steals per game lead the conference while Seton Hill only turns the ball over 15.8 times per game, fifth best in the conference. Majewski's ability to disrupt the Griffins offense could be vital to the outcome.

#11 Laurel Lindsay (G/F, 5-11, Jr.) - Continuing her strong finish to last year, Laurel Lindsay has scored at least nine points in all three games this year, including tying a career-high 17 points in the Fighting Scots last game against Winston-Salem State. She leads the team and is fifth in the PSAC with 4.3 assists per game.

#12 Paige Alviani (G, 5-8, Sr.) - A versatile player, Paige Alviani is second on the Griffins with 16.3 points per game and leads the team with 4.0 assists per game. Those marks put her 13th in scoring and eighth in assists in the PSAC. Last year, she was named to the All-WVIAC First Team.

#4 Katie Gattuso (F, 6-0, Sr.) - 2012 Second Team Daktronics All-Atlantic Region selection, Katie Gattuso has been one of the most dominant interior players in the PSAC in her first year in the conference. She is averaging a double-double per game with 17.8 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. Each of those marks ranks top six in the PSAC.

STORYLINE
After a week off of seeing, the Edinboro women's basketball team returns to action, hosting Seton Hill. This is the Fighting Scots second PSAC West game of the year, as they won the previous at Pitt-Johnstown, 91-80. Edinboro had an eight-game home winning streak snapped at the hands of Winston-Salem State, 59-58. The recent home loss was the Scots second regular season home loss in its last 38 regular season games. This is the Griffins first year in the PSAC and they have dropped each of their first two conference games to Mercyhurst, 85-75, and No. 2 Gannon, 80-66. They are led by first-year head coach Mark Katarski, making this the third time this season Edinboro has faced a first-year coach.

SCOUTING SETON HILL
Seton Hill is has a balanced attack that features four players averaging double-digit points per game. The Griffins defense has played well this season, as they are fifth in the PSAC in points against per game and third in opposing teams' field goal percentage. Seton Hill is a newcomer to the PSAC and has started off by losing each of its introductory games to the conference. They lost 85-75 against Mercyhurst and 80-66 to No. 2 Gannon. They are led by senior forward and Niagara transfer Katie Gattuso. Gattuso is averaging a double-double with 17.8 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. She is fifth in the conference in scoring while third in rebounds. Gattuso is also third on the team in assists with 1.7 per game. Guards Meghan Mastroianni and Paige Alviani have also provided for the Griffins in multiple facets. The senior Alviani is second on the team with 16.3 points per game, third in rebounds with 5.2 rebounds per game, and leads the team in assists per game (4.0) and made three-pointers (11). The junior Mastroianni is third in points (10.7), second in rebounds (5.3), and leads the team in field goal percentage (.538). Gattuso and Alviani were first team All-WVIAC last season.

In a series that first began in 1990-91, Edinboro claimed the win at McComb Fieldhouse in the last meeting as Callie Iorfido had one of her two career triple-doubles. The now Boro assistant coach had 20 points, 14 assists and 11 rebounds. Agnes Michalow led all scorers with 24 points. Maria DiVecchio added 15 points with Kelly Calderone also in double figures with 10. Elena Radnkovic led the Griffins with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

LAST TIME OUT - WINSTON-SALEM STATE 59, EDINBORO 58
Edinboro saw an eight-game home winning streak snapped as they lost to Winston-Salem State 59-58. The Fighting Scots allowed a layup to Amanda Hairston with 14 seconds left to give the Lady Rams the lead. At the other end, Valerie Majewski missed a lay-up which led to a rebound and timeout by Winston-Salem State. On the following in-bounds play, Majewski stole the pass at halfcourt and shot a three-pointer that fell short. Laurel Lindsay tied a career-high with 17 points and led the Scots in points, rebounds (7), assists (5), and blocks (2). Majewski added 15 points and had six steals and six rebounds. Edinboro turned the ball over 21 times to the Lady Rams 19, the first time they had more turnovers than its opponent for the first time this year.
