Katie Magee tied her season-high with three goals, but it was not enough as Edinboro dropped an 18-7 match at #8 Lock Haven Tuesday afternoon.
Katie Magee was the star of the match with three goals while
Shannon Rohrich added two and an assist. Edinboro drops to 5-6 on the year while Lock Haven improves to 9-1 overall and 6-0 in the PSAC.
The Bald Eagles entered the day as the eighth-ranked lacrosse team in Division II, and raced out to an 8-0 lead in the first half before Edinboro could answer with a goal by
Jenny Wirth.
Lock Haven then rattled off another five straight goals before Edinboro got back on the board with
Stephannie Niell's third goal of the season. Lock Haven scored once more but
Katie Magee had the answer with her first goal of the day after taking a pass from
Rebecca Martin.
Shannon Rohrich scored her team-leading 34
th goal of the season following a Lock Haven goal to make the score 15-5 in favor of the Bald Eagles. She would add an assist on Magee's third goal of the day with 1:15 remaining and then bury her second goal with just seven seconds to go in the game.
Rohrich's 34 goals is good for fifth in the PSAC, while freshman goalie
Autumn Held added six saves and remains second in the conference in saves per game at 9.4.
Edinboro finishes their four-game road trip with a 1 p.m. game at Kutztown on Saturday before returning home to play four of their final five games at Sox Harrison Stadium.
