EDINBORO, Pa. (January 25, 2014) – The Fighting Scots men and women's wheelchair basketball teams competed in the second and final day of the Edinboro CID Tournament on Saturday at McComb Fieldhouse. The men's team dropped a pair of contests to fall to 3-13 on the season, while the women's team remains in search of its first victory of the season after the Scots lost their only game on Saturday.
MEN'S RESULTSIllinois 48, Edinboro 32The Fighting Scots led 21-18 at half but were outscored 30-11 in the second half. Edinboro held a 25-20 lead with just over ten minutes to play but the Illini scored the next 12 points, part of a 24-2 run.
's double-double was not enough to overcome 19 turnovers, as the Scots fell to Canadian Academy, 41-26. Johnson scored 10 points and grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds to go along with five assists. Edinboro pulled within two at 18-16 at the half when Courissa Clark-Longo hit a jumper, but Canadian Academy outscored the Fighting Scots 23-8 in the second half to capture the victory.
