Edinboro, who closes its homes portion of the 2014 campaign with this weekend's matches, owns a 20-9 overall mark and an 11-7 PSAC record. The Vulcans are 21-8 on the season and 13-5 in the conference, while Seton Hill sits at 25-4 and 14-4, respectively. 
The Fighting Scots enter this weekend's contests following a 3-1 triumph over host Slippery Rock in a PSAC Western Division contest on Tuesday night. The win was the 20th victory of the season for the Fighting Scots, marking the first time Edinboro has reached 20 wins in a season since 2011, when the Scots closed the season with a 23-9 overall ledger. Edinboro recorded at least 20 wins in 10 seasons since the 2000 campaign, including seven times under head coach 
Missy Soboleski in her ten years with the Fighting Scots. 
With Tuesday's win, Edinboro moves into a tie for fifth place in the PSAC Western Division standings with Mercyhurst, as both teams own an 11-7 ledger in PSAC play. 
The top four teams in both the PSAC Eastern and Western Divisions qualify for the PSAC Championship Tournament. The Fighting Scots have four conference matches to play, including three contests against teams head of Edinboro in the PSAC West standings, beginning with their two matches this weekend against fourth-place California (13-5) and third place Seton Hill (14-4).  
Edinboro also sits seventh in the first NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Rankings released yesterday. The NCAA regional rankings determine the participants for the NCAA Tournament at the conclusion of the conference championship tournaments.  In the Atlantic region, the PSAC and Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association champions receive an automatic bid to the NCAA regional, with the six highest-ranked remaining teams receiving at-large bids.  
CELEBRATING HALLOWEEN WITH THE FIGHTING SCOTSFriday's match marks Edinboro's Volleyball Halloween celebration, as fans are encouraged to wear their costumes to the contest for a chance to win prizes. Free treats will be given out at the door. The event is sponsored by the Edinboro University Bookstore, Chartwells, UTZ Snack Foods, WalMart, Wooden Nickel and McDonald's. 
HONORING MARETT AND MEEKSMarett ranks second in Edinboro history, eighth in PSAC history and 10th among active NCAA Division II athletes with 1,991 career digs. The 5'4'' libero also ranks second in school history with 4.55 digs per set. She is seventh in NCAA Division II and ranks second in the PSAC with 534 total digs, while sitting sixth in the conference and 15th in the NCAA with 5.31 digs per set. The New Wilmington, Pa. native set the Edinboro single-season record with 751 digs in 2013, the sixth-highest total in a single season in PSAC history. Marett is an HPE Certification/Human Performance major with a 3.48 GPA. 
Meeks ranks third on the team with 213 kills and 2.34 kills per set. The 5'8'' outside hitter has recorded 10 or more kills in seven matches this season, including a 17-kill performance in the Scots' win at Slippery Rock on Tuesday. She posted season highs of 19 kills and 11 digs against UPJ. The senior has tallied 917 career kills, 839 career digs and 108 career total blocks. Her 1069 kill attempts in 2013 rank ninth in school history in a single season. She paced the Scots with 313 kills and a 2.52 kills per game in 2012. Meeks is a Human Performance major with a 3.35 GPA. 
GRUBER LEADS THE EDINBORO ATTACKJen Gruber paces the Edinboro attack with 267 kills and 2.54 kills per set this season. The 6'0'' right side hitter has tallied at least 10 kills in 11 matches during the 2014 campaign, the most of any Fighting Scot. She posted a career-high 16 kills to go along with 23 digs in the Fighting Scots' 3-2 victory over Pitt-Johnstown. She is coming off a 14-kill performance in Edinboro's most recent win at Slippery Rock on Tuesday night, while recording a .333 hitting percentage and contributing six digs and two block assists. 
SCOUTING CALIFORNIA (PA)California (Pa.) dropped to fourth place in the PSAC Western Division standings with a 3-0 loss to Seton Hill on Tuesday night. The winning Griffins passed Cal into third place with the victory and improved to 14-4 in the conference. The Vulcans have now lost three out of their last four matches. Cal is led by Laurel Miller, who paces the PSAC with 356 kills. Former McDowell standout Danielle Hayes ranks second on the team with 225 kills. Miranda Fouzie, a 2013 All-PSAC West Second-Team selection, ranks second in the conference with 1.21 blocks per set, while fellow 2013 All-PSAC West Second-Team honoree ranks third on the team with 175 kills. 
Player to Watch: Laurel Miller (OH, 5-10, Sr.)Miller leads the PSAC with 356 total kills and ranks third in the conference with 3.49 kills per set this season. The 5'10'' outside hitter has recorded 10-or-more kills in 20 of 28 matches this season and has posted at least 15 kills in nine contests. She received a number of accolades during her junior campaign in 2013 including Capital One Third-Team Academic All-American, AVCA All-Region, Daktronics First-Team All-Region, All-PSAC West First-Team and NCAA Atlantic Region All-Tournament Team. 
SCOUTING SETON HILLSeton Hill moved into third place in the PSAC Western Division standings with a 3-0 victory over California (Pa.) on Tuesday night. The Griffins have won four out of their last five contests entering Friday's matchup with Slippery Rock. 2013 All-PSAC West First-Team selection Corrine Gahagen leads Seton Hill with 288 kills, while Shelby Kyllo ranks second in the conference with a .351 hitting percentage. 2013 PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Year Lauren Teed paces the Griffins and ranks sixth in the PSAC with 461 digs. 
Player to Watch: Corrine Gahagen (MH/OH, 6-1, Sr.)Gahagen paces the Griffins with 288 kills, while ranking fourth in the PSAC with 1.05 blocks per set, seventh in service aces with 42, 12th in the conference 2.8 kills per set and sixth with a .312 hitting percentage. The 6'1'' middle hitter has posted ten-or-more kills in 13 matches this season. She tallied 13 kills to go along with a season-high nine blocks against Edinboro earlier this season.
