EDINBORO, Pa. (Nov. 14, 2014) – The Edinboro wheelchair basketball team finished in fifth place while competing in the 2014 Boro Shootout. The Fighting Scots ended the two-day tournament with a 3-2 record and are now 3-6 on the season. Charlottesville ended up capturing the championship with a 55-48 win over Detroit in the title game. Cleveland ended up taking third place. A total of 11 teams competed in the event.

EDINBORO 47, CHARLOTTESVILLE 39The Fighting Scots grabbed a 27-14 lead at half and would hold on over the final twenty minutes. Edinboro held Charlottesville to 30.5 percent shooting from the field. Blake Rush led Edinboro with 12 points on the strength of 6 of 8 field goals. Isaiah Moore and Mike Adams added 10 points apiece.
Ayuba Alli had nine points and six rebounds, while
Derek Strickland pulled down nine rebounds.
CHARLOTTESVILLE 60, EDINBORO 52 Edinboro held a 26-23 lead at the half but was outscored 37-26 in the second half. Charlottesville shot 57.7 percent (15 of 26) in the second half and was 10 of 16 from the line for the game. Mike Adams had 17 points, making 8 of 16 field goals.
Derek Strickland had 10 points and eight rebounds and Isaiah Moore added 10 points.
Derek StricklandEDINBORO 41, KEYSTONE 22Edinboro held a slim 15-14 advantage at the half, then outscored Keystone 26-8 in the second half. Keystone made just 3 of 26 shots in the second and shot 21.3 percent for the game (10 of 47). The Fighting Scots made 50.0 percent of their shots (11 of 22) after shooting 35.0 percent in the first half (7of 20). Edinboro held a wide 33-16 advantage in rebounds. Mike Adams once again led the way with 15 points, making 6 of 9 field goals including a 3-pointer.
Derek Strickland added seven rebounds and Isaiah Moore six.
EDINBORO 55, KEYSTONE 42Edinboro once again jumped out to a big 33-21 at the half while making 15 of 28 field goals. Edinboro would shoot 50.0 percent for the game (26 of 52) for game.
Derek Strickland posted a double double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Mike Adams added 10 points and 4 assists.
Hollis Muenster came off the bench to contribute 10 points (5 of 9 FGs) and five rebounds
NRH 47, EDINBORO 41Edinboro led 41-38 with three minutes remaining but NRH ended the game on a 9-0 run. Isaiah Moore led the Scots with 13 points, while Mike Adams finished with 10. The Scots shot just 28.1 percent for the game (16 of 57), while NRH made 11 of 19 free throws and outrebounded the Scots 32-19.
