EDINBORO, Pa. (Nov. 5, 2014) – After opening the season last weekend with three games in Canada, the Edinboro wheelchair basketball team will host the 2014 Boro Shootout on Saturday, November 8 and Sunday, November 9. A total of 11 teams will compete in the two-day tournament, with all games taking place at McComb Fieldhouse.
The Fighting Scots come into the Boro Shootout with a 0-3 record, losing twice to the Canadian U-23 team and once to Illinois last weekend. They fell to the Canadian U-23 team by scores of 62-54 and 67-50 after opening the year with a 55-37 loss to Illinois.
The Boro Shootout will feature two games going on at the same time in McComb. The action gets underway on Saturday at 9 a.m. when Edinboro hosts Charlottesville. The Fighting Scots play again at 12 noon, playing Charlottesville once again. At 3 p.m. Edinboro will square off against Keystone, followed by a second game against Keystone at 9 p.m.
Sunday's action gets underway at 9 a.m. The semifinals are slated to take place at 10:45 a.m., along with a consolation game at that time and two at 12:30 p.m. The championship game will tip off at 2:15 p.m.
