EDINBORO QUICK THREE
• After missing the first five games of the season, 2014 WBCA All-American Valerie Majewski returned for Edinboro on Wednesday evening at Slippery Rock. The senior guard responded with 15 points on 6-for-11 shooting and 2-for-5 on 3-pointers. Majewski showed little rust playing 37 minutes and swiping four steals. The University at Buffalo transfer, who was also accorded the 2014 PSAC West Athlete of the Year, was a preseason Division II Bulletin All-American and preseason All-PSAC West selection.

•
Lauren Hippo began the season shooting 10-for-20 (50.0 percent) on 3-pointers through the first three games. Last year the junior guard/forward shot 48.9 percent on 3-pointers, the second-highest 3-point percentage in PSAC history. During the Fighting Scots current three-game losing streak, Hippo has missed all 10 of her 3-point attempts and is shooting 3-for-29 (10.3 percent) from the floor. She has failed to reach double figures over the last three games, a mark that does not bode well for Edinboro. Since last season, the Scots are 16-1 when she scores in double figures and 14-8 when she does not reach that mark.

SCOUTING MERCYHURST
• Mercyhurst has lost two straight games. The Lakers opened PSAC play with tough losses at California (Pa.) 69-57 and then losing at home to Gannon 68-65. They lost 65-45 to Indiana (Pa.) on Wednesday. The Lakers are 13th in the PSAC in scoring offense (66.1 ppg.) and 17th in scoring defense (76.0 ppg.). Mercyhurst also ranks 17th in rebounding margin at -6.6.

• Adrienne Kloecker leads the Lakers in scoring at 15.0 ppg., tied for 12th in the PSAC. The junior guard was the only Laker player to start all 26 games last year and has now made 33 straight starts dating back to last year. Last season Kloecker averaged 19.0 ppg. against Edinboro.

SCOUTING VIRGINIA STATE
• Virginia State is a deep team that has nine players averaging 10 or more minutes per game and is scoring 79.7 ppg., tied for 37th-best in Division II. The Trojans are giving up just 62.2 ppg. and their +17.5 scoring margin is the 35th-highest mark in the nation.

• Tiffanie Adair has been the star for the Trojans this season. She leads the team with 16.5 ppg. and 10.5 rpg. The senior forward is tied for fourth in the nation with five double-doubles, one shy of the nation's lead entering the week.
