shot 9-for-16 from the floor on her way to 16 points and 13 rebounds while
Laurel Lindsay scored 18 points and had a career-high 10 assists. Lindsay shot 5-for-13 from the field, but made 3 of 6 3-pointers and was 5 of 6 from the line.
Lauren Hippo added 16 points on 8-for-14 shooting to give the Fighting Scots four players in double figures.
Edinboro had a season-high 48 rebounds while Slippery Rock finished with just 32. In addition to Freeland's strong efforts on the glass,
Valerie Majewski finished with nine rebounds.
D'Asia Chambers matched Jackson's scoring output with 23 points to lead Slippery Rock. She shot 10-for-19 from the field and added eight rebounds. Jazmyne Frost and Erica Aiello finished with 14 and 10 points, respectively.
The Fighting Scots dominated in the first half. They shot 20-for-33 from the field (60.6 percent) on their way to a 50-27 halftime lead. The 50 points at the break were a first half season-high and tied the Shippensburg game for the second-most in any half this season for the Scots. Edinboro's 53 point second half against Pitt-Johnstown is the only game this season in which they have scored more in a half.
Edinboro trailed early at 6-4 with 17:25 remaining in the first half. The Scots would go on a 12-0 run to capture a lead they would not surrender. Jackson had seven points during the run to give Edinboro a 16-6 lead with 14:06 showing in the first half.
The Fighting Scots went on a 13-0 run shortly after that. Freeland's lay-up with 10:35 left sparked the run that was capped off by Lindsay scoring the final five points. The Scots led 32-11 with 7:54 remaining.
Edinboro would lead by at least 20 points for all but the final nine seconds of the second half. The Scots built their lead to as much as 29 points, that coming as a result of a 9-0 run. Ahead 69-49 with 7:26 left to play, four different Scots scored in the run that was capped off by a Lindsay 3-pointer to make it 78-49 with 5:13 remaining.
The Fighting Scots will return to action on Saturday, February 22 when they travel to Indiana (Pa.) seeking win number twenty. The game is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. as Edinboro looks to clinch the top spot in the PSAC West.
